“Bangkok Bank takes great pride in having been a part of the country’s financial sector since its establishment 74 years ago. The Bank places great emphasis on improving the quality of life for society’s increasing number of underprivileged, disabled and elderly people. As such, we are pleased to join JS 100 Radio to collect donations to buy wheelchairs for patients as well as disabled and elderly people in need in Bangkok and throughout the country. We believe that good will towards one another will be a driving force behind Thailand’s sustainable development going forward,” said Deja.
Piya Malakul Na Ayudhya, Chairman of Pacific Group, a company that produces and operates the JS100 Radio program said that there are more than one million disabled and elderly people in Thai society who need wheelchairs. In an increasingly aging society, many patients as well as disabled and elderly people still lack wheelchairs to enable them to live better lives. In this regard, JS100 Radio initiated the Wheelchair Donation with JS100 Radio Project three years ago. So far, JS100 Radio has distributed more than 3,000 wheelchairs given by charitable donors to those in need in Bangkok and throughout the country. He also said that JS100 Radio aims to distribute more wheelchairs to around 10,000 District Health Promotion Hospitals which are mostly located in rural areas. “This year’s collaboration with Bangkok Bank will create a powerful force to help a lot more people who suffer from physical illness and poverty. JS100 would like to thank all generous donors who donated money and their personal belongings to improve the quality of life of these underprivileged people”, he said.
